Where Body, Mind, Heart, and Soul Are Transmuted into Gold

Become the healthiest version of yourself by eradicating everything that no longer serves you and stepping into a reality where anything is possible.

Most of us suffer from a spiritual sickness which trickles down into the heart, the mind, and eventually into the body.

By the time the sickness reaches the body, it has gone through three stages of attempting to let you, as the vessel, know that you are not living in alignment with your Highest Self.

Allow me to illustrate. A few years ago, I was having a conversation with a friend whose son has an autoimmune disease. I was telling her that, according to Eastern philosophies, all sickness comes from within. She was skeptical.

Now, years later, she has gone through cancer treatments, including surgeries the doctors botched so badly that they told her there was nothing they could do to save her and to go home and die.

It is at this point that many people today are forced to seek “alternative” medicine and find something that will actually treat the core issue rather than the symptoms.

You see, today’s medical doctors are operating on a false premise that the body is a mechanical structure that can be fixed, like an automotive vehicle, with a mechanical procedure.

The fallacy is that we are composed of matter and nothing more.

You are so much more than your body!

This same friend of mine has been asking lately about how to release repressed emotions and deal with her spiritual and mental blockages preventing her from being healthy physically.

She understands now that the body is merely one aspect of what composes a human being and that she must take care of herself on every level in order to live.

The choice for many of us is to continue our current way of living, and likely die, or change our ways and learn how to live a life of health and happiness.

My friend recently started riding horses again. For a long time, she didn’t ride because she had to take care of her son and life had really thrown her around, so she simply wasn’t able to.

Now that she’s riding again, she feels better, there is a noticeable difference in her demeanor, and there is an energy in the way she acts and speaks that was missing before.

In his bestselling book, The Blue Zones, Dan Buettner and his team of researchers have come to the conclusion that those who live the longest have a sense of meaning, a reason to get up in the morning.

They have what is known as a raison d’etre, or life purpose.

What is yours?

Personally, I know that mine is to sing and to dance, two of my favorite activities. Music, to me, is life.

A few years ago, I was sitting alone on the couch. I was listening to music and decided to pick my unhappy ass up off the couch and dance.

I only intended to dance for one or two songs, but ended up doing so for three hours straight.

To this day, I make a point of dancing at the bare minimum of an hour every other week. As I was driving home today, I started to move to the music in a way that told me I am overdue for a good dance.

Dancing has become like therapy for me. When I’m feeling stressed out, like life is getting too hard, or I’m just off balance, I dance it out.

To be clear, I use many healing techniques, I meditate, and I do many other things to maintain my wellbeing, but my life changed drastically when I started dancing.

Alan Watts, who was an amazing British philosopher, writer, and speaker, said:

“They are more or less impotent and they go and rot in an old people’s senior citizens community; and because we’ve simply cheated ourselves the whole way down the line. Because we thought of life by analogy with a journey – with a pilgrimage. Which had a serious purpose at the end and the thing was to get to that end; success or whatever it is or maybe heaven after you’re dead. But we missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing and to dance while the music was being played.”

According to The Blue Zones, in the places where people live the longest, elders move in with their children when they get too old to take care of themselves and become involved in raising the grandchildren.

Their lives have purpose. They are not rotting in an old folk’s home waiting to die, and as a result they live longer, more productive lives.

So, Holistic Alchemy is about finding the reason you are alive and realizing that we are meant to experience joy and playfulness.

It truly is about the journey and not the destination.
